What is a compatible or remanufactured cartridge?
A compatible toner or ink is simply a cartridge manufactured by a third party supplier and not the printer manufacturer. All these cartridges are produced to strict quality standards last just as long if not longer and print as high a print quality as the original product whilst offering huge savings, making them a much more cost effective way of printing
A remanufactured toner or ink is simply the original manufacturer’s cartridge refilled and replaced with brand new parts. Also, as these cartridges have been remanufactured it reduces the amount of waste going to landfill. Everything we sell comes with our 12 month 100% money back guarantee.
What is an original cartridge?
An original cartridge or 'OEM' is a toner or ink manufactured by the same company as the printer.
OEM stands for 'Original Equipment Manufacturer'.
Will using compatible or remanufactured cartridges void my warranty?

Why should I buy a compatible or remanufactured cartridge?
My printer won't recognise the cartridge. What do I do?
If an ink cartridge is not recognised by the printer firstly make sure the tab has been removed, then try wiping the copper contact plate underneath the cartridge with a damp cloth then attempt to install the cartridge again. If the cartridge is still not recognised then try turning it off and then back on again after a few minutes as this can help clear its memory. Also, you can run the printers cleaning program as this will clean the print heads and help push the ink through. You may need to run the print cleaning program 3 or 4 times.

I can't find my printer or cartridge listed on your website. What do I do?
Returns and Refunds
I need to return an item. What do I do?
For whatever reason, if you need to return a product then please contact us and one of our customer services team will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Number and will then process your return.
If the reason for the return is a faulty product then we shall arrange for the goods to be collected and replaced free of charge. Once we have received the faulty product and it has been tested and approved then the replacement/refund will be issued.
For any other reason the customer is responsible for the return of the goods to Cartridge Empire.
To return goods back to us we always recommend using a recorded delivery service such as Royal Mail and all goods returned MUST have a Returns Authorisation Number marked clearly on the package, this can be obtained by a member of our customer services team.
Please note unless a cartridge is faulty we are unable to take back any opened or damaged cartridges.

Goods No Longer Required
If an incorrect product has been ordered or for any reason the goods are no longer required these can be returned to us within 30 days of receipt of order for a full refund or exchange. Simply contact us within this time period and a member our customer services team will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Number. Once the goods are received back to us unopened, unused and in a re-saleable condition then the credit/refund will be issued.
Not 100% satisfied.
In the unlikely event you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, Cartridge Empire will offer a refund or exchange within 30 days of receipt of order. Please contact us and a member of our customer services team will arrange this for you.
If any products need to be returned after 30 days of receipt of order then please contact us and discuss the issue with us. We may be able to offer you an exchange or a partial refund.
If incorrect goods are received.
Should you happen to receive any incorrect goods please contact us and we will immediately arrange for the products to be returned and replaced.
Faulty Goods.
At Cartridge Empire everything we sell comes with a full 12 month guarantee from receipt of purchase. Should a cartridge become faulty within this timescale then please email us with evidence of the fault, together with a picture of the faulty cartridge clearly showing the labels/barcode. If the faulty product needs to be returned we will issue you with a Returns Authorisation Number and we shall arrange for the goods to be collected. Once we have received the fault evidence and the faulty product where requested, and it has been tested and approved then the replacement will be issued free of charge, or a credit issued.
Please note if the cartridge has been largely used i.e. most of the toner powder/ink found to be in the waste bin or the “Toner Low” signal activated then no credit will be issued.
